Wiston House is home to Wilton Park, an executive agency of the Foreign and Commonwealth office providing a global forum for strategic discussions on issues of international security, prosperity, and justice. The house is an impressive 16th Century Grade 1 listed building surrounded by 6,000 acres of parkland in Wiston, West Sussex.

Helpful were commissioned to redesign and rebuild Wiston’s site, moving it from a formal corporate website to one which would allow the venue to compete for higher-end exclusive weddings and events in addition to the 50 official events it holds per year for Wilton Park.

I worked on the project solo with the help of a project manager. Taking cues from Wiston’s newly redesigned wedding brochure, I made use of large full-bleed imagery, serif titles, and introduced subtle animations, tiered page layouts, grid galleries, and centralised timelines. While the design showcases large high quality imagery and video, it is also optimised for speed and for the mobile experience.
